123 trunk lock question
I had to drill out a trunk lock. It actually worked pretty good as it didn't damage any of the mechanism, just took out the button so I can stick my finger in the hole and release the trunk lock and it locks with the doors and fuel flap. I need to fix it tho. My question is what would be the problem in just getting a used lock WITHOUT a key at the bone yard. I have never needed to just unlock the trunk, or could I run into another "drill out" if the vacuum actuator failed? ( I dont think its spring loaded like the fuel flap) OR would it be worth it to find one with a key just to be safe?? Thanks, have a great day all
