Randy is right about ATF level. About engine oil, you can either check it after you car has been sitting overnight, or when the engine is at operation temp. When the engine is warm, turn off the engine and let it sit for a few minutes. I'd say most of the oil will settle down after 2 or 3 minutes when the engine is warm. You can check the oil level then.
