I just guess you might use a lot of salt from looking at the condition of your components under the hood.

Yes, we get salted a lot in Northern Virginia. South of this state there is not much salt used, but here they always put down WAY too much salt during the first snow storm. I think they don't want any criticism about not treating the roads properly in response to snow or ice.

Then if it is a really snowy winter, you see less and less salt each time - until they finally go over budget. It can be pretty bad to have a snow storm in March around here!

I try to keep the MBs off salted roads because I think they just dissolve under those conditions.
