The fuel guage on my '83 300TD indicates about 3/8 of a tank _more_ than actual. Luckily I caught it the first time it needed fuel after I bought it!!!

It indicates Full for a _long_ time, too. I know part of that is the magic "bigger half" seen on most all fuel tanks. But at an indicated half-tank it takes 12 gal. to fill up.

Interestingly, I think the Low Fuel Indicator light works in the right condition. Apparantly just the needle section is wrong.

Any way to adjust the reading these needles show?
