On the 87 300 model, would you confirm the temp sensor is behind the front license plate? I ask because on my 87 300e, there is nothing behind the license plate & the dash led is lit, but it is completely blank. However, there appears to be some kind of sensor on the driver's side front edge of the radiator, about half way up, in a little holder/bracket, & I thought this might be the sensor. The crystal is good because I swapped it out of a working sensor from a 91 300e. Thanks.
