Tickells FTFTTFT is getting a bit dated...lots of research/experimentation has happened in the past few years. And that is the place to find it IMO. Easily searched archives and an active friendly membership...Kind of like this one
I always recommend installing a new thermostat if the engine seems to run cold. But the temp sending unit could be faulty...and if needed a simple design exists for inexpensive DIY 12vdc fuel heaters.
