Diesel engine has whole lot higher presure. Also, diesel tester usually has a quick connect at end of hose and then you have different adaprters to fit into different engines. I have one with adapters for VW injectors, glow plugs and MB injectors I think. Not like the hose with couple of different threads on the end like my gas tester.
