Be careful to order shifter linkage bushings and not shifter bushings. The two are NOT the same. Don't ask me how I know.

I used vice grips with a quarter duct taped to one side and a 17mm box end wrench on the other with a little lube to force it in.

I wish I had thought of cutting with a razor blade. I don't see how it could affect the operation of the bushing once everything is installed. Should work fine.
