Finally, an update for everyone. I installed a new middle muffler and the check engine light is now out. Only thing I can guess is that the big hole in the pipe leading into the middle muffler changed the back pressure in the systenm and caused the mis-readings. Thanks for all the help that everyone gave. As usual, this group is awesome.
