My uncle has 4 Rovers... 1 Range and 3 Land's
He loves them, but keep in mind he is an offshore oil rig designer
who loves to tinker. Plan on doing some of that yourself.
I remember as a child getting stuck in a riverbed for a bit once with one of the Land Rovers, but we made it out safely, great fun. He even took one of them to Africa with him on safari; as a rule they are pretty darn rugged, they'll run on just about anything you put in them!
