im in the business
I own a small computer consulting company and frequently i will have ppl bring me computers wanting to add an additonal hard drive.
I would have to explain to the computer illiterate about master/slave configurations. At first they are like, "what?" then i explain, master means primary hard drive and slave is secondary hard drive and that is the technical terms for them etc.
I have clients of all sorts, white, black, asian, hispanic, drug dealers to lawyers, doctors, business owners, auto repair facilities, etc.
I think some people have too much time on there hands to worry about tehcnical jargon that has been used for over a decade.
