ROTFL!! On a side note, someone on the MBZ email list went to see a one-owner '84 300D for sale, asking $1399. It was nice, he offered $1100 I think, the guy said he'd take "eleven four". OK, deal, counts out fourteen $100 bills. The seller looks confused and says "uh, those are hundreds." UH, yeah. Turns out the ad had a typo - asking price was $13,900!! HAHAHAHAA! They parted ways, both disappointed, with a comment to the seller that if he was offered anything north of $3500 he should grab it. Don't people look at NADA or KBB before advertising? Sheesh. I mean, this wasn't a custom car or restoration, just a plain ol' driver. I forget the miles, but it wasn't that low.
The guy wanting $25k is on crack unless it had 25k miles, fully serviced, always garaged, and never seen snow. At that point he might get a buyer if advertised in the DuPont Registry (probably at high teens, though). Just my $0.02...
