Most likely a bad connection, perhaps on the bulb you replaced or another. Just clean the connections, maybe rough them up with a little sandpaper. There is a little tab that the bulb rests against. By pulling that out a little with some needle nose plyers you put more pressure on the connection. The other possibility is a bad high center brake light in the back window - sometimes overlooked.
