My drivers side windows will not roll up all the way. It gives out a "clunk..clunk...clunk" when almost at the top.

I assume some of the teeth are broken off the mechanism. The parts book shows that I probably need the entire scissor assembly (I don't know the exact name). Any idea if I can replace only the broken part? And how do I get the door panel off?
