Why is it that finding a good barber is almost as hard as finding a good mechanic? I always see two extremes... a bad haircut for $7 or decent/good for $30. What do you guys usually pay at the barbershop and how good of a cut would you rate it?

p.s. eric... I know you use a dog clipper, so no need to post that you don't pay anything:p
