If you have sewer systems that go to a treatment plant, like most good size cities, pour it down the toilet. NEVER pour it down a storm drain on the street, you might as well just murder a few thousand fish and birds. Those drains go to rivers, lakes, and oceans. Otherwise you need to call around. Some shops may take it, if not, your county will have a "Hazardous Materials Collection" center somewhere, you just need to locate it. It's usually free or cheap, they would rather you take it to them instead of dumping it on the ground.
BTW - thank you for disposing of this stuff properly! Too many people just don't care, which is very sad.
