I have been listening to a lot of potential speakers, lately, and reading a lot of reviews. The MBQuartz sound very nice, but kind of bright and short of mid range to me. I haven't listened to Focals, but everyone seems to think they are just about the top end, except maybe for a/d/c or dynaudio. All the above are pretty high ticket items. Boston Acoustics speakers sounded great to me, and I may still go with them. They are not quite as expensive as the above, and some reviewers think they sound better. I liked them much better than the MBQuartz. Diamond Audio look like they would fit in my dash better than anything else, and the reviewers seem to think they sound even better than the Bostons or MBQuartz, but I have not listened to them yet, and won't decide until I do.
