I think the whole computer industry itself is a self-perpetuating swindle of the highest order. Not since the pet rock has there been a marketing swindle like this. Except maybe cell phones.

It creates its own work and over-hypes 99% of what it actually does. Most websites and e-mail are all crap. I think most companies WOULD be more productive without a lot of the current technology they now use. It's my opinion that the majority of users today would actually do more work without a desktop PC. You know, like actually speak with people and get things done.

And I'm in the industry. I'm an IT consultant/solution provider/technical smoke and mirrors master.
