humorous, but a bit off. I'll not be defending Hillary (ugh), or trying to convince anyone that government ought to solve all of their problems (it should not!). But connecting the dots and ignoring other important variables is irresponsible (a common rush slip). Vaccine manufacturers were certainly free as private companies to refuse to lower their prices and not sell to the government. They chose to up their volume at a reduced rate, thinking they'd win down the road. I'd be willing to wager that they indeed jockeyed for the govt. contract. That they might have desired to sell more of their product and that did them in is hardly the consumers fault, even if the consumer was Hill'ry.

Also, it's awfully easy to sit on one's arse (rush) and criticize everything that is seen, but it takes a LOT of doing to make the us government do anything. Vaccinating kids, especially those who have no access to healthcare is a BARGAIN for taxpayers who then are free to not pay for Polio wards, measels outbreaks, and tuberculosis sanitariums. As long as we are not guaranteed healthcare but simultaneously cringe when lepers wander blindly through the street, the government is going to pick up the tab for those who cannot. So, if the govt. did choose to buy as a group to lower the costs, good. That's less taxes I've got to pay.

Lastly, Hillary certainly had nothing to do with the flu vaccine being produced this year WITHOUT the strain that is currently circulating. That was a miscalculation on the manufacturers part. Trends in flu shot use made the vaccine makers destroy thousands of doses in past years, so they cut their losses. Sounds like reasonable business to me.

I don't have a problem holding people accountable when they are, and Hillary certainly was/is to blame for a lot... but for kids getting the flu? I think somebody needs more painkillers- he's getting desperate.
