Hold it! Not a good idea, cutting your current springs will leave you with a spring that is not stiff enough for the movement in the suspension. What will happen is your suspension will bottom out and hit the bump stops (i.e. low rider bouncing off the expansion srtips on the highway!)with meduim to large wheel movement. The cut spring will not be able to overcome the weight of the car and will bottom out and you don't want to look funny do you?

Better just save a little while more and get the right parts for the job! Also you may get more feelback if you pose this question to the "Wheels and Tires" Forum, Good Luck.
