Perception is a lazy man's reality. Jaguars were always perceived as the ultimate British luxury car, along with Rolls Royce. Since relatively few people know people who have Rolls Royces, word doesn't get around about the problems. My mechanic flat out says Rolls Royces are pieces of junk compared to MB. It will take time for people's perception to change for the better or the worse. What they are really doing is not changing their perception, but seeing reality.
