Do you mean an '82 240D that is wired for the parallel (PIN) type GP?

When I worked as a tool maker I made some converter bushings out of parallel GP for my 190D. Hardest part was was getting the porceline out of the metal shell. Even carbide tooling had a tough time cutting the porceline.

The 190D started much quicker with the parallel plugs.

Sorry, I don't know where any converter bushings can be purchased. Maybe you could have some made at a maching shop but they might be very expensive.
