Yes. There are little studs that stick out of the emblem that go through the trunk lid and are held in place by clips on the inside. The holes in the sheet metal will need to be filled with --- why not a sealant--- then, spot color it with the factory touch-up paint. If you decide to go back, you can take out the sealer and reapply the "badge". (What should I stamp on my 300CD with the Chevy 350 in it? I kinda like the looks on their faces when I zip by on hills.)
