Sorry to hear about your accident but you must be more careful. At least you didn't have a head on collision.

Probably the tie rod is bent and the wheels are badly out of alignment.

I would worry more about the bent windshield post. That's not a DIY project.

I'm glad you are going to fix it. I hate to see another MBjunked.
