When LSU plays schools like Monroe Tech and what are the other schools ???

LSU and OU played a snooze-fest which was only made interesting by the fact that everyone wanted to know how it felt to play in a second-ranked bowl.

Pete Carroll is smarter and a better coach Nick Saban. USC is better coached than LSU. USC had fewed penalties and made fewer mistakes in beating Michigan than either OU or LSU had in their Boring Bowl.

Norm Chow can outcoach the entire LSU staff, with half his brain tied behind his back. Leinart is a far better qb than Mauck will ever be. Leinart will play pro football. Mauck will be pulling people's teeth. The way Mauck was throwing the ball, he was lucky that he only got picked off twice. He should have been intercepted at least twice more. Against USC's secondary, and fast defensive line, Mauck (or White) would have been reduced to playing catch-up all night long. And LSU was lucky that they were facing that Heisman-fraud White. White can't move and can't execute...hell, he couldn't even pass the ball.

Neither LSU nor OU could have beaten USC--not even on their best day. OU lost to Kansas, by a huge score and then Kansas could not even beat Ohio State. LSU's strength of schedule was a fluke. The one computer that put LSU ahead of USC by 0.16 of a point was the computer ran by a UCLA professor that has admitted that he strongly dislikes USC. So go figure.

At the end of the regular season BOTH the AP and the Coaches Poll put USC #1 in the country, by large margins. At that point it was abundantly clear who the #1 team int he nation was--USC. The coaches were then obligated, by CONTRACT, to vote the Boring Conference Series winner as the #1 team. IF the coaches were not so obligated, last night the coaches would have also voted USC the #1 team, giving USC BOTH the AP and the Coaches Poll.
