I have the shop cd's, alldata, and this forum. Alldata is 24.95/year for the first car and 14.95/yr (i think) for each additional car. i hardly use the cd's any more, alldata is similar info and much easier fo ME to navigate. Searching this forum usually points me in the right direction for a problem, then study the alldata stuff on R & R, then come back to the forum to search on experience of those who have done the same job. May sell the cd's, may keep them to use with my laptop for road trips.

As for parts, hard to beat the service and pricing of FastLane. On top of that, Phil knows his MB's pretty well, and still is way patient with people like me who are neophytes. They also use Airborne as a shipping option which gives me next day delivery in the midwest for about the same money as ups ground. On the rare occaision i pay a dollar or two more, i take a minute to remember that if not for the forum they sponsor, i'd never be able to do any of this myself. (not that i always get it right the first time!!)
