I had cleaned my fuel dist. with two tall cans of carb. cleaner, and then with one can of starting fluid. Re-installed and the engine started, ran and flooded.
After cleaning my fuel distributor with the last process of soaking in hot water

in a pot on the stove for 10 minutes at approximately 140 degrees, more rust sediment settled to the bottom of the pot. Before I soaked it, I cleaned it externally with "Greased Lightning" (a powerful degreaser). Since the FD gets plenty hot during the summer, I figured I had nothing to loose by submitting it to 140 degrees in water.
The water did not boil, but was bubbling (similar to the bubbling action of the ultrasonic cleaning solution affect). I had the exhaust fan above the stove on as well. I allowed the FD to air dry completely, for 4 days, then re-installed it as of this evening. After adjustments on the mixture adjustment tower, the engine started to clear up and run excellent.
The FD is now back in operation, although adjustments on the plunger are in order, and that will happen tomorrow. At least my engine will crank on the first try, run smooth and not flood at all, and does hold a steady idle after the warm-up period. I will post another update after making adjustments to the underside (plunger setting) of the FD.
My research into cleaning a Fuel Distributor has paid off, with a little patience you can do the same to yours if needed.
