using the sears craftsman multimeter that has the option "FREQ % duty", I placed positive lead on pin 3 and negative lead on pin 2 of x11. This week, I replaced oxygen sensor and fuel filter. I tested the x11 with all connections plugged in. Car is '85 190E 2.3 8v.

the reading in the multimeter was moving up and down with a minimum of around .790 and maximum of around .990
