I've replaced mine and there are two things to watch out for. Firstly make sure you use the correct adhesive - my first attempt was a disaster and the foam fell off!

I used 3M 8090


actually not quite this tin as I couldn't obtain it, but the Industrial version which is identical (as qualified by 3M)

3M Neoprene Contact Adhesive Spray 80

and it's superb.

Secondly, the foam fits snugly within the hood at all edges so pay special attention to how the foam fits before removing it. There's no need to remove every ounce of old foam just make sure that the surface is flat. Then clean the surface with a degreasing agent like thinners or similar and make sure you protect all paintwork!

It's dead easy and your hood will be beautiful once again
