I bought a 300TE that came from Germany with a lowered aftermarket suspension, fat 225/45-16 tires and Borbet 16" wheels.
The car looked terrific and everybody loved it.
After one year of putting up with the harsh ride characteristics, continuos tire damage (roads are terrible here) took the car to the dealer and order the full original set up to be re-installed including a set of brand new 15" M.B. 6-hole Type B wheels.
The car still looked nice, and the ride improved inmensely.
