My vehicle (for thsoe who don't recall) is a '77 450 SEL (Euro) with about 69K on clock. Thin bumpers; cloth seats; you know the drill. anyway.....

while replacing 2 short left side fuel hoses (I think fuel) yesterday, I again noticed that there are 3 metal lines grouped all together running together down left side of car. Can anyone definitively identify these 3 for me?

Reason: when I replaced those 2 short hoses (one of which was for sure the fuel return line), not only did my gasoline smell disappear, but the car definitely rode firmer and had less lean from rear corners. Could some of these lines be some sort of load-levelling system?
