Take a look at the cowlings that fits directly below the leaf screen. THe drivers side would have a plastic clip that is on a plastic hinge. If it does not have the clip then you do not have the filter.

Henry, I believe this is wrong. All 124's have those white plastic clips, and not just the drivers side, but both sides.
The easiest way I've found to identify "filtered" cars (besides looking in the intake screen and looking for the filters, or along the side of the intake screen) is by the "smile" shape under the wiper arm assembly. If it is hard plastic and held down with the 5 small screws, there is no filter. If it is a solid chunk of rubber which just lifts up out of the groove (no screws), it's got a filter.
