They use a check valve and it's located near the jet inside the top of the tailgate. If I remember correctly you need to remove the trim at the inside top of the tailgate and the jet is held in with a screw on the inside. It's pretty tight in there and I found my hose was stiff so I had to be really careful not to loose the hose down the small access hole (you'll know what I mean when you see it). You might want to know though that I found after all my work to get the jet and check valve out that my blockage wasn't there. What I didn't do (and you should) is trace the line starting from the pump. You'll need to remove the panel just forward of the tool/resevoir compartment. I discovered the hose had somehow gotten pinched behind that panel. It looked fine and the only way I found the blockage was to cut the line as far up as I could and blow back toward the pump. Only then did I figure out where it was blocked. I used a simple connector I got from a McParts to put the hose back together and it's been fine since. It was one of those annoying jobs that you think will take 5-10 minutes and ends up taking an hour. Hope you have an easier time of it.
