Hmmmmm

Seems like quite a pain, bu the results are nice, very clean install and true to the original design. VERY expensive however. Sad that the US models had the rediculous DOT lights, probably the worst blow to automotive design ever. Did you know that the US spec lights are different simply so that a headlight "Aimer" could be mounted on the three little tits on the lamp glass to "aid" in aiming the light....As though Americans were so stupid that they could not aim headlamps. I wonder if they will have a coffee temperature and anti spill device made mandatory next year?

I am changing my 560 SEL back to the Euro lights, partially for the better lighting but mostly becaust of the clean design, they bring the grill all the way around the front and tie it all together cleanly, with the clear turn signals the effect is very clean and stylish. I have yet to see a 560 SEL with both the Euro lights and fog lamps but would like to.

Anyone know where I can get a SEC bumper cover near Seattle for a reasonable price? Or a set of Euro lights?

Note of interest: I recently moved back stateside from the UK, so I called a friend in the UK to get me a pair of Euro lights from a breaker there, available for about $70.00 each copmplete.....However since they are from the UK the lens is designed to point slightly to the left as they are right hand drive...Useless for US roads, so unless you can source parts from France, Germany or Spain, forget about getting headlights and if you find a set on Ebay, ask if they are from the UK or you may end up with a pair you can not use.
