Another thing to keep in mind. If yuo say the brakes are new and all the sensors are OK. Since you obviously have purchased teh car used you can never really know if the instrument cluster has been pulled before which in turn when not properly or porrly reinstalled, I have read many times, that the conenctions for the lights are not done correctly. Therefore, what you think is the brake pad light could/should be another warning light.
keep this in mind though I do recomend that you ahve the brakes checked out, maybe the sensors are not connected or bad.
