Sqeaks!
Thanks for all of the responses on removal of the windshield. Looks like my best bet is to ensure that it is the windwhield sqeaking. Allong those lines I did some experiments. Here's what I know:
1) Only happens at warm underhood temperatures.
2) The noise may be created by bouncing the left front of the car and is clearly audible from the outside (and inside!) of the car
3) The noise goes away with the hood at the fully up (vertical) position!
4) Lubing the hood hinges had no effect.
5) Lubing the anti roll bar and suspension bushings had no effect.
From the above I am no longer suspecting the windshield. I'm thinking something inside the fender. Maybe the hinge assembly. If anyone has any ideas please chime in!
