Assuming that you did everything correct that you described above, what could have happened is that your engine wiring harness finally gave out, and needs to be replaced.

1993-1995 3.2 liter M104 engines, like yours and mine, suffer from disintegrating insulation on the engine wiring harness.

They are all bad. It is not a question of "if", but when.

Do a search on wiring harness, and you will have enough reading to keep you up all night, or at least give you a heart attack.

The part is (or at least was) about $550 dollars. If you have a mechanic do it, it should take them about 2 - 2.5 hours.
