A friend of mine has a 300E w124. I was in the car the other day and asked him what the humming noise was. What noise he said. I guess hes got used to it. It appears to come from the front of the car around the glove box area. It was too cold to open the hood and delve deeper. Any ideas. Maybe a fuel pump? Even when the ignition is on (engine not running) you can hear it.
