I mistakenly over-torqued mine on 2 occasions and experienced no leak.

I used oem gaskets/filter/etc.

I doubt that the setting you used is causing a leak. You're way under the setting I used.

As suggested earlier, you may be dealing with a problem created earlier by someone else or the leak is really coming from an adjacent spot. If warpage due to gorilla hands is the problem, you may have to snug it up a bit and if that doesn't help, examine the edge of the pan again.
