'98 E320, had the harmonic balancer go out last summer at 72,000 miles. Independent mechanic said he's seen plenty of them. Reported it on the NHTSB web site, got my fingers crossed for a recall. Still love the car, like it better than both the BMW 535 and 530 that I've owned in the past. Oh well, guess everything has it's price!
