You're right there, although it's been my experience that soemtimes, even if you have a fairly common problem, you may be experiencing different symptoms than someone else, which would make searching a difficutl task at best. I usually get frusturated with searching, which is why I tend to ask obnoxious questions.
You're also right that an FAQ would be great at least as a starting point. I would offer to take it on myself, except I don't think I have the time with school and whatnot, and I'm certainly nowhere near as well-qualified as others on this board...
