It mounts to the same area that the CD Changer is mounted in, left rear corner of the trunk. It needs to be integrated into the fiber-optics loop, and then the version coding in the COMAND unit will need to be updated. You'll also need to have the version coding changed in the instrument cluster and the SCM (steering jacket control module), and also have the stalk installed for the Voice Control System (upper right part of the steering jacket).
They may need to order a fiber-optics connector, or did it come with the fiber optics line and the stalk?
I'd say take it to the dealer, they'll need to change the version coding in the COMAND for you using the shop computer (SDS).
