I'm probably going to catch a lot of flak for this.....Georgia doesn't have any inspection except for smog equipment in the Metro Atlanta area, not sure about Macon or Savannah though. IMHO inspections should be brought back because some of the "cars" I see out on the road every day look like they had been bought from the local parts recycler. Many that I've seen are missing headlight assemblies and more don't have functioning brake lights (automatically your fault if you hit one in the rear). Be "lucky" that you have inspections to make owners keep their cars in working condition.
