The $5700 sounds like the price to buy a (new) COMAND unit outright. In "the real world" they'll sell you a reman unit, which will have a very steep core charge on the unit, but you do the exchange and the actual cost will be more reasonable than that. not CHEAP, but not $5000+ either.
