Question Chemical Gasket Removers ?

My Isuzu Rodeo transmission/adapter pans are leaking slightly.

Gaskets have close to 200K on them and all of the on/off with the pans for fluid/filter changes over the years has taken it's toll. The gaskets now need to be changed.

These gaskets are a paper/fiber type material and are literally baked on the the transmission body; not the pans. All around the outer edge of the transmission is all sort of high $$$ internal transmission parts that could easily be damaged. I don't see a scraper alone working in this situation.

On the WEB, I've seen advertisements for chemical gasket removers. Permatex, CRC; Loctite are the most common names I've seen.

Would anyone be able to recommend a product that would soften this old/hardened gasket material?

Thanks for your time.
