Altitude Compensation in Early K-Jet?

Does anyone know where compensation for altitude would take place in the injection systems on the M116/117/110 engines?

I looked through the functional description chapter on CIS on the CD and could not find anything on it.

It would seem that the lambda system would help by detecting less oxygen in the exhaust and leaning the mix, but what about pre-lambda cars, and what about the euro model that did not have lambda?

TIA
