Yesterday afternoon, as I was bombing my way eastward after a meeting in Oakland, I was listening to the very Requiem to which you refer (Sir Neville Marriner, Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields and guests on Philips). I wasn't quite at the requisite speed, however. Too windy up here. I have long harbored a secret desire (not so secret now) to be flying along in triple digits accompanied by a J. Strauss waltz. An imprint from Kubrick's "2001," I assume.
