I did that!

I had to remove the fan on the 104 in my sl320. I removed the belt and then took one of those belt wrenches around the pulley that I got from Pep Boys for 9.99. I then took an allen wrench, I think 4mm, and used an open end jack handle over the end to give more torque. The belt wrench will sit against another pulley and you can give it some torque. I would recommend taking your time and removing the radiator because it is a tight area. This fan was a pain! It took me more time to remove it than anything else. Good luck.
