I have access to AllData - couldn't manage anything without it and therefore I'll spend some time reviewing the DTC and test procedures to figure out how the systems work on my '93.

However, as an electronic eng I can only image that the data is transfered serially from the each pin or by pulses. What is meant exactly by impulse tested? I'm assuming that the number of pulses within a certain time frame refers to a certain error code - is that correct?

Right - off to play with the MT2500 and couple this with further reading on AllData.
