Approved oil grades for rear axles with limited slip (pay attention to reference plate on rear axle carrier) - Special hypoid oil SAE 90.

When looking at the many gear oils at the store, you will see some marked specifically for use in limited slip differentials. If the 280SE has a limited slip rear end, that is what you need.
